About

M.Sc. Cyber Security candidate seeking a SOC Analyst Internship, with hands-on project and lab experience in SIEM monitoring, security alert triage, log analysis, network traffic investigation, IOC analysis, and incident response fundamentals. Familiar with Wazuh, Wireshark, Nmap, Kali Linux, Burp Suite, and MITRE ATT&CK.

Projects4

  • WAZUH SIEM HOME LAB — SOC SIMULATION

Deployed Wazuh SIEM on a virtual machine for centralized log ingestion and security alert monitoring. Triaged and investigated alerts by correlating events across multiple log sources to identify potential threat patterns. Practiced the incident response workflow: identification, containment, analysis, and documentation.

    • Wazuh SIEM
  • TRINETRAINTEL — CYBER INTELLIGENCE & FORENSIC ANALYSIS PLATFORM

Developed a unified platform for Threat Intelligence, OSINT, Digital Forensics, and SOC investigation. Performed IP intelligence checks including geolocation, ISP/ASN, VPN/proxy/Tor detection, and risk analysis. Implemented domain intelligence using WHOIS, DNS, subdomain discovery, SPF/DMARC, and security checks. Conducted hash/file, email-header, and image-forensics analysis using metadata, magic bytes, EXIF, and security indicators. Mapped findings to MITRE ATT&CK and OWASP and generated local investigation reports.

  • VULNERABILITY ASSESSMENT & PENETRATION TESTING LAB

Assessed a controlled Windows lab environment vulnerable to the EternalBlue (MS17-010) SMB vulnerability. Used Nmap to identify open ports, running services, and SMB exposure on the target system. Analyzed the vulnerability and used Metasploit in a controlled lab to validate it and demonstrate exploitation. Documented security weaknesses and recommended patching, SMB hardening, network segmentation, and disabling unnecessary SMB services.

    • Nmap
    • Metasploit
  • SAL1 LEARNING

Working through SOC Level 1 topics including network traffic analysis, SIEM fundamentals, phishing email analysis, digital forensics, and threat intelligence. Solved CTF challenges involving network forensics, web exploitation, cryptography, and reverse engineering.
