About the role

We are building a multi-tenant AI-native SaaS platform serving multiple verticals, alongside a media-engine infrastructure. We are hiring an Engineering Manager to own the technology and architectural direction of both systems. The current stack runs Node.js, Fastify, PostgreSQL, and Prisma, but we are hiring your architectural judgment, not your stack expertise. You will report to the Operations Manager, lead a team of three junior full-stack developers, and partner with the existing senior engineering talent.

What you'll do

• Set the architecture for the multi-tenant SaaS platform, treating tenant isolation as a security boundary rather than a filter.
• Design the AI agent layer: orchestration, tool calling, context management, evaluation, and human-in-the-loop approval.
• Design the media-engine infrastructure, including multi-agent pipelines, prompt versioning, and automation workflows.
• Ship code yourself 30-40% of the time; set the bar by shipping, not only reviewing.
• Run code review for 100% of junior developers' pull requests.
• Hire, mentor, and develop the junior full-stack team.
• Set the engineering bar for AI-native coding, shipping cadence, and code-review standards.
• Own production reliability: CI/CD, deployment reliability, and platform uptime.

Must-have

• 7-10 years of experience, including 5-6+ years owning technical direction through architecture or solutioning.
• Demonstrated depth shipping production-grade systems.
• Experience shipping AI agent systems to production and understanding where orchestration, tool calling, context management, and evaluation fail.
• Multi-tenant SaaS expertise with tenant isolation as a security boundary.
• Daily AI-native coding workflow using tools such as Cursor, Claude Code, or Copilot.
• Production-scale cloud infrastructure experience, especially AWS containers, managed databases, and cost control.
• Experience leading engineers and making them better.
• Ships first and refactors on the way.

Preferred

• Compliance-constrained environments such as HIPAA or PCI, and BYOC/on-prem deployment.
• LLM evaluation and observability.
• Early-stage startup experience, such as first engineering hire or founding engineer.
• Productive in Node.js, Fastify, PostgreSQL, and Prisma in week one, or transferable expertise in Python, Go, or Java.

What success looks like

The team ships production code daily with high quality. The architecture scales to the next 10x without a rewrite. Junior developers ramp to owning features independently within 4-6 months. The Operations Manager trusts your architectural decisions enough to step back from day-to-day execution.

Hiring process

Intro call (30 min); 24-hour take-home task; architecture deep-dive (90 min) covering a past architecture walkthrough and system design; AI-agent and HITL deep-dive (60 min); team and culture conversation with the Operations Manager (45 min); offer and onboarding plan.

Compensation and benefits

Rs 14.40 LPA - Rs 18.40 LPA, direct report to the Operations Manager, immediate-joining priority, growth path as the engineering team scales under you, plus a monthly KPI bonus paid on outcomes and a promotion ladder.
