Job Overview

We are looking for a skilled and hands-on Chef / Baker – Product Trials to support product application, demonstrations, and trials for bakery and HoReCa products. The candidate will be responsible for conducting product trials at customer locations, demonstrating the correct application and usage of ready-to-use bakery and HoReCa premixes, and providing technical feedback to the R&D and product development teams.

The role requires a strong practical understanding of bakery production, ingredient functionality, recipe execution, product quality, and troubleshooting. The candidate should be comfortable interacting with customers and travelling to different locations for product demonstrations and trials.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct bakery product trials and demonstrations at customer/client locations.

• Demonstrate the preparation and application of ready-to-use bakery and HoReCa premixes.

• Support the R&D and Product Development teams during product development and application testing.

• Conduct internal and external product evaluations as required.

• Prepare products according to defined recipes, formulations, processes, and technical specifications.

• Identify and troubleshoot issues related to product texture, volume, taste, appearance, consistency, and overall quality.

• Provide practical and technical feedback on product performance during trials.

• Record trial observations, results, customer feedback, and recommendations in appropriate trial reports.

• Assist in developing and modifying recipes based on customer requirements and product performance.

• Support comparative trials and product benchmarking against existing market products where required.

• Ensure proper handling, measurement, mixing, baking, storage, and presentation of products during trials.

• Coordinate with sales, R&D, technical, and customer teams to ensure successful product demonstrations.

• Understand customer requirements and suggest suitable product applications based on their needs.

• Maintain proper records of trials, samples, recipes, results, and feedback.

• Travel to customer locations for demonstrations, trials, and technical support.

• Follow company guidelines related to food safety, hygiene, quality, and workplace safety.

Candidate Requirements

• Short-term bakery course, diploma, certificate, or relevant hands-on bakery experience.

• Candidates from Institutes of Hotel Management (IHM) or similar hospitality/bakery institutes will be preferred.

• Practical knowledge of bakery production and preparation techniques.

• Good understanding of bakery ingredients and their functionality.

• Knowledge of cakes, breads, pastries, premixes, and other bakery applications will be an advantage.

• Ability to understand recipes, formulations, measurements, and production processes.

• Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

• Good communication and customer-handling skills.

• Comfortable conducting product demonstrations in front of customers.

• Willingness to travel for customer trials and demonstrations.

• Ability to prepare clear trial observations and reports.
