Forward Deployed Engineer (GCP)

We are seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer (GCP) to design, build, and integrate custom agentic workflows and production-ready enterprise AI solutions for a leading insurance client. In this role, you will bridge the gap between cutting-edge Google Cloud AI capabilities, BigQuery data infrastructure, and Apigee AI Gateway to deploy scalable, secure insurance agents into client environments.

Role Description

Multi-Agent Products: Build and deploy enterprise agent systems using Google's Agent Development Kit (ADK) and Vertex AI Agent Engine, ensuring agents coordinate, self-correct, and complete workflows reliably.

System Safeguards & Kill Switches: Implement multi-tier protection layers, including logic limiters in Cloud Functions, financial budget caps via GCP Quotas, and semantic safety controls with GCP Model Armor to stop data leaks.

API Gateway & Telephony Integration: Use Apigee AI Gateway to secure, throttle, and govern tool calls between AI agents, core enterprise services, and customer communication channels like Karix telephony.

Zero-Trust Security & Data Provenance: Apply zero-trust standards (mTLS, Workload Identity, RBAC, Maker≠Checker approvals) and use cryptographic signatures to verify data origin and history.

Grounded Retrieval & Privacy: Implement grounded RAG on Vertex AI Vector Search with source citations, automate sensitive data redaction using Cloud DLP, and set up Pub/Sub triggers to delete data upon consent revocation.

Observability & Compliance Automation: Set up OpenTelemetry tracing and BigQuery audit logs to meet Observability Gate G9 standards, encoding industry rules (IRDAI claims deadlines, DPDP data residency, HIPAA, and TCPA/DNC) directly into software checks.

What You'll Bring to the Table:

3+ years of hands-on experience building and deploying AI agent architecture and LLM applications natively on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

5+ years of professional software development experience in Python or Go, with production expertise in asynchronous programming, microservices, and API design.

Proven track record architecting and launching production-grade AI/ML applications, LLM workflows, or Agentic systems from concept through post-go-live support.

Deep familiarity with BigQuery, Vertex AI Search & Conversation, Cloud Run, Pub/Sub, Cloud Storage, and IAM.

Bonus Points:

Experience implementing Apigee AI Gateway for securing, routing, and managing enterprise API traffic and LLM endpoints.

Experience implementing multi-agent systems using frameworks (e.g. ADK) and patterns (e.g., ReAct, self-reflection, hierarchical delegation).

Knowledge of LLM-native metrics (e.g., tokens/sec, cost-per-request) and techniques for optimizing state management and granular tracing.

Google Cloud Certified (e.g., Professional Cloud Architect or Professional Machine Learning Engineer).

Domain background in regulated or financial services.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
