Power BI Developer

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Power BI Developer to join our team. The Power BI Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining business intelligence solutions using the Microsoft Power BI platform.

The ideal candidate has strong expertise in the Power BI suite, including Power Query and Power Pivot, as well as hands-on experience with SQL, relational databases, data modeling, data visualization, and data integration.

The successful candidate will develop interactive dashboards and reports, integrate data from multiple sources, analyze business data to identify trends and insights, and ensure the accuracy, quality, and performance of BI solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Analytics, or a related field.

• 5+ years of experience developing and implementing business intelligence solutions preferred.

• 5+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Power BI and its related tools.

• Strong knowledge of Power BI, including Power Query and Power Pivot.

• Proficiency in SQL and relational databases.

• Strong understanding of data warehousing and dimensional data modeling.

• Experience integrating and transforming data from multiple sources.

• Experience with data visualization principles, tools, and techniques.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Strong attention to data accuracy and quality.

• Ability to work independently and effectively as part of a team.

• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical data concepts to business stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and optimize interactive dashboards and data visualizations using Power BI.

• Design and develop business intelligence reports using SQL and Power BI tools.

• Integrate data from multiple sources into Power BI.

• Develop and maintain data models to support business intelligence and reporting requirements.

• Use Power Query and other Power BI tools to transform, clean, and prepare data for analysis.

• Analyze and interpret data to identify trends, patterns, and actionable business insights.

• Develop and implement data governance policies and procedures.

• Ensure the accuracy, consistency, and quality of data used in reports and dashboards.

• Monitor and optimize the performance of Power BI reports, dashboards, and data models.

• Collaborate with business stakeholders and technical teams to understand reporting and analytics requirements.

• Troubleshoot data, reporting, and dashboard issues and implement appropriate solutions.

• Maintain documentation for data models, reports, dashboards, and BI processes.
